For Carrie's pregnancy, we choose to be in the care of a mid-wife. For those of you not familiar with mid-wives, they are a great option as you have regular check-ups with lengthy visits to answer all questions/concerns and you have the option for a hospital or home birth. Following the birth Laura and Carrie remain in the care of the mid-wife for 6 weeks and for the first week after birth they received home visits every other day. The care we have received from our mid-wife has been exceptional! Here are a few shots of our mid-wife, Diana Doe, and her back-up, Bev:

| Feb. 17th - Check-up with Bev |

Feb. 19th - Check-up with Diana. Yes, this is how the mid-wives weigh the babies when they are on home visits.
Maybe Uncle Andrew can try this with his fish scale sometime? |
