This month Laura:
- has grown like crazy! (Next month is her check-up so I'm not sure how much exactly she has grown, but she is now in 12-18 month clothing!!)
- had big mental developments (really seems to examine things, talk to people, react to other peoples emotions and then respond accordingly, etc)
- loves kids!! (She loved Maeve's girls, Claire & Carmen, when we visited with them and then loved her cousins, Elyse & Brynn. When we got home from our big travels, Laura continued to "talk" and stare at any kids we came across...in the street, in the store.. you name it. Definitely a social butterfly!
- is not yet crawling on all fours, but is doing a bum scooch thing and is continuing to pull herself around with her hands...although she still goes backwards most of the time. That said, if she really wants something she'll get there via rolling, scooching, and pivoting on her tummy..
- continues to be very vocal with lots of "bleh, bleh, bleh"!
- still has VERY strong separation anxiety and is still VERY attached to mommy --- quite literally, if I step out of sight (like behind a cupboard door) she starts screaming. That said, playing with kids has helped with the separation anxiety.
- has two teeth (bottom centre)!! The first tooth popped out on Uncle Andrew's birthday, Sept. 25th!
Now that Laura is becoming mobile --- and independent (strong willed?) -- the photo shoot this month was tricky. I had Ken's help and eventually got a good shot, but here are some of the photos leading up to that shot:
