Laura woke up with swollen eye again. We called and got a same day appointment with the peadiatrician we saw in the hospital. The doctor said it is possible that the mosquito bite may flare up from time to time, until "the bit" comes out of her skin. We were given an antibiotic and told to also give her Benadryl. The swelling went down, but it was followed by hives. At first the hives looked like new bites, but they quickly developed in red splotches and moved around her body. We continued to give her Benadryl and they got worse. The next morning the hives were even worse and covered her body tip to toe and so off to the ER we went. Yep, turns out she is allergic to Benadryl! The hospital gave us a prescription grade antihistamine and off we went. Hopefully we don't see that hospital again...or any bug bites!!

| Yup, my first thought was also "oh man... not again"! |

| Poor Laura! On the way to the ER she complained that her ears hurt - turns out the hives had covered her ear lobes! |
