July

Shopping with Elsa. Yes, Costco had their Halloween costumes out in July.

To celebrate Canada Day, Laura and I made a cake.

Jacob was impressed....especially with the icing!

Fun times at Safari. Jacob LOVES the train. He usually cries as soon as the ride is over and says "again!"

Hard to tell, but the kids were actually having a fun time.

Egg drop.
Laura's class at asked each child to wrap up an egg however they liked and bring it to daycare for the "drop". The point was to see whose egg would survive the fall. Laura choose to "wrap the egg in marshmallows and then put it in the fire hats".

She was very happy when she discovered the egg did not crack open! (*The fire hats survived the fall too.)

Ken's sister, Lorraine, and her boyfriend, Mitch, bought a house in Port Elgin within walking distance to Lake Huron. We headed up and spent the day with them. Laura was very excited to go to the "beach"!

Auntie Lorraine taking a tired little boy back to the house for a nap.

Boxes are just so much fun!

A lady at the park asked Laura if she wanted her face painted. Turns out the lady was a "clown in training" and was doing free face painting while her kids were playing. I think she did a pretty good job. *She also made Laura a balloon animal.

Jacob and his big boy haircut. Watch out ladies!
